  1. Find suitable surface

Find a flat, visible and easily accessible surface for your NFC tag. Clean the surface with a damp cloth to remove any excess dirt and leave to dry completely before moving to the next step.

2. Fix NFC tag to surface

Peel off the backing film and place NFC tag on chosen surface. Then firmly apply pressure for 20 seconds to ensure a tight adhesive bond is achieved.

3. Assign tag to location

Using the Boardingware Staff App on an iPhone 7 or higher, navigate to the “More” section and select “Scan NFC Checkpoints”. Scan your NFC Checkpoint and then you will see a form where you choose the location to associate that reader with from the location tree. You can also rename it if you wish.

4. Confirm the connection was successful

You can check to see if the connection was successful by reviewing the assigned location in your Location Manager as the IDs will now be displayed.
If you cannot see the connection displayed, please refresh your page. If they are still not showing, please go through the assignment steps again.

Please be advised that it is strongly recommended to setup the readers in the above order to avoid confusion associating the correct reader to the correct location.

Warning: NFC Tags are not easily removed once adhered to a surface, so the alignment and position prior to application is important since the aggressive adhesive provides a tight bond once applied. To remove a NFC tag, run a sharp knife along back to slice through the tape. Then scrape off any excess tape with a knife. Due to the adhesive, surface may be damaged when removed.
